Kudos to all you guys doing 2600 ft climbs every ride. My god! If I had to do that I think I would have quit riding. Interesting seeing Strava results from all over the country.

Some of us have no choice since we live in places where there's close to 1,000 feet of climbing about every 10 miles. Heck, the first mile of my 2 mile commute to work is about 400 feet. The only flattish ride around here is to ride along the SF Bay shoreline.

Some really great rides being posted - makes a refreshing change to see rides in other parts of the World.
Thank you @Narhay for taking the time to set this up.

Agreed, @ExPatTyke. Thanks to @Narhay. I see strava is more social than ridewithgps.

I have to see if pictures I post to ridewithgps get sync'd to strava. My guess is that they won't.

Got my ride in. It was a scorcher and despite 3 bottles I was dehydrated by the end. I would do it again on a cooler day.

I appreciate that you took the initiative to start this group @Narhay. Strava is an excellent platform and it does appeal to one's competitive nature. The excellent photos are a bonus too.

I pulverized my phone by leaving on the back bumper of my truck (by accident). Still riding, but, don't really have a way to record my activity right now.

fresno, ca,
You could always bike out here to DP, and then we could have a peloton of two. Actually, I get some of my six children to ride with me occasionally. But that's the closest thing to a cycling club there is in DP - except for this C&V Strava club, of course.

Hi Tom. I use Cyclemeter, but if I take any pics while riding, when I open the ride that has been synched to Strava, Strava automatically recognizes photos that were taken during the time the ride took place. So it's fairly easy to upload them that way.

Joined up a little while ago. Very cool to see what others are doing on their C&V bikes. Just did my first vintage bike ride since joining- 50 mile gravel 'shakedown' ride for the Bottecchia Giro d'Italia. https://www.strava.com/activities/1659520686

Okay guys my phone's been blowing up today!

And I love it! So many people posting photos of their rides, and I missed Cyrus' from earlier in the summer.

Though I probably should turn off notifications now from the C&V Strava group

We've been at this for about a year now, and I must say I like it. It is nice to see what other members are doing, like @hazetguy says.

My only problem is that most members use these strange handles at Strava. Like they're just normal people, instead of the C&V buffs they are in reality.

BTW, I used Strava while mowing the lawn today. No segments, so no PR's.
