Great pictures, thanks for sharing. Our club had a ride in the hills above Santa Barbara today. It was a pre-ride for our Cool Breeze charity ride Aug. 18. I just did the 1/2 century, 2500' climbing. Sorry to miss the Pasadena. Looks like some great bikes. Hope to see everybody next time. My dad had a 1965 Datsun, silver 1600. The red car brings back memories. Thanks again.

Google "Cool Breeze Ride" if you need a challenging ride in the cooler hills of Ventura and Santa Barbara.

Thanks for the photos Miguel. I think your 88° was from the start of the ride :-) My car showed 96° as I was driving home about 2:00p. The three water bottles I drank during the ride, and one on the way home were almost enough. :-)

Id like to think it was 88° the whole ride. That last stretch to Beantown was brutal with the heat bearing down on us.

Thanks for the pictures Miguel. I enjoyed my first ride on the gold Peugeot. I forgot to charge my phone, but here's a few more pictures I got before it died.

Another great day in Pasadena. Good turnout too, and lots of interesting rides. All good until my gold Pugeout flatted 3 miles from the finish. Thanks for helping, Wilson. Those Paselas are a pain to get on and off Mavic rims. Turned out to be a cut sidewall. Oh well, good times up till then. Hope to see everybody next month. Here's a few pics.

Joe, Eroica has now moved its HQ and start/finish to Cambria right on the coast. There's a new short route going north on HWY 1, and 3 longer routes inland and back out, still with a fair bit on non-paved. Still, the fun of seeing so many different vintage bikes, enjoying the Central California Coast and just soaking in that vintage vibe might be enough enticement to be there, if not to ride in the event. Also, there's NOVA Eroica for modern bikes which will go on Saturday before Eroica Vintage goes on Sunday. So you can pick your poison and how much suffering you want to do!

Looking forward to seeing many of you for the Nov. 5 ride today. Weather will be in the low 80's and sunny, hopefully with a bit of breeze. Keep those wheels turning!

That Carnevale in the photos from September is interesting - and it appears that the lugs used are Medici stock. I know that Carnevale guy has an Ebay store and has been into cycling for a long time. I wonder if he either worked at Medici or had a pal there build him a frame? The "Carnevale" logo sure looks Confente-ish to me...

Beautiful bikes, all. Especially that orange/black Condor

Great ride today. I was afraid of another 90° California autumn day, but it was just about perfect. Good turnout, lots of interesting hardware. Must have been "Peugeot Day". Heres a few pictures.

My trusty Legnano.

Not my gold Peugeot, but a beautiful PX10.
