I built this singlespeed up after finding a really great deal on the tires.
Other parts mostly out of my parts bin.
Frameset: 1986 Schwinn Passage
Crankset: All-Terra mountain triple with only it's 30T chainring
Freewheel: 17T ACS
Wheels: Old, beat up Performance hubs, Mavic MA-2 rims, double-butted spokes. I've had this wheelset forever.
Tires: Kenda Happy Medium 700x35
Should be fun. I'll probably get it dirty this weekend. Brakes are marginal at the moment, but that should just add to the excitement. Need to get some better pads.

My first Cyclocross/Gravel roadiemathingy. 2018 CAADX 105 SE new from Ebay for $900 plus shipping right before Xmas. Couldn't get a Topstone locally for months, and this popped up too good to be true for the price. I had spare disc parts I had socked away since last year plus take offs from other builds that I upgraded right away. Haven't got to the pedals yet, so the OEM platformers are in there temporarily but man it's a comfy ride
Ultegra Hydro RS685 and calipers, 6800 FD
HED carbon seatpost + Bontrager Montrose Pro saddle
3T Ergoterra bar w/ Zipp Service Course CX tape

I've built 8 G-Bikes over the past 2-yrs, looking for the right combination of price, handling, and weight. This latest one may be the best...
1989 Bianchi Axis frame and fork, rusted, dented, bent, destined for the dumpster. Gave the frame a little love and fresh powder coat. Then added Shimano SLX Shadow+ 10-sp with TanPan, Shimano 105 FD, 105 STI, TRP 8.4 V-brakes, FSA Vero Pro 48/32, Mavic Open Sport Rims, Clement E'xplor MSO 700x32, and Soma June Bug. At 24.5lbs, just 1lb more than the Kona Jake the Snake that 'donated" all the components, but far smoother ride.

It was a shakedown ride for a longer ride that I needed that many bottles for 2 legs that to get to the next stop without running out. Turned out to be a great shakedown for finding problems with my set up, my back water bottle holders were so tight I had to stop to pull the bottles out, couldn't do it while riding. I also decided to ditch the bar mounted bottle and just stick one in my jersey pocket.

Been working on a drop bar fat bike and I ended up neglecting my gravel bike. Upgraded to 2 inch G-One Speed tires so now it's more of a fat tire road bike

Riding is my addiction
San Francisco Bay trail near San Mateo bridge
Just got my Trek Checkpoint SL6 on Wed, Thurs. it rained no rain on Friday to I headed out and took in some local gravel. Damn cold and windy but lots of fun, and handles gravel and mud quite well.
