I've been admonished by the mods to introduce myself before posting my junk posts. So here I am, just a cranky old man. Greetings and best wishes to all who ride - and to those that don't.

Umm, I'm sure you weren't admonished...you just have to have a minimum number of posts to post links, pictures, videos or post to certain sections, For Sale...
It's not a thing against you at all. It was done to prevent spammers from just diving in, and we had such a problem a couple years or so back.
Welcome, and enjoy the place a bit.
And what was meant was try to avoid posts like, "I'm posting this to get to be able to do this or that later", that's all...quality over quantity.
We've had members with fewer posts than you in a dozen years
Just remember that some sections like Politics & Religion, Trollheim and Foo don't count toward post count, they are off-topic forums.

Welcome to the forum. I'm sure it wasn't an admonishment. You would know if it was an admonishment. We are really good at admonishments.
I assume you got an automated message or something? Or maybe someone suggested you post here because of the anti-spam rules? The mod staff is all volunteer, we do our jobs because we like to keep the place moving without getting too off kilter and full of spam. I think most members here share those values. I'm sorry it causes real people some inconvenience, but if it's worth signing up, it's worth participating a little before you post links or pics. And back before the automated system came into being, we would get floods of spam. We used to have days when mods had to ban hundreds of spammer accounts. Now they go to other forums because it's expensive to spam here. We still get people, but it's much reduced.
