Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Haha. Yeah. The seat and the rack are a necessity, unfortunately. Wife and I are trying for a second kid and 10-12 hours/week in a traditional saddle has me concerned at the moment. Need to find different fenders. They're legit hideous.

Everyone here is so kind. I would've flamed myself for posting my bike.

As for the fenders, something like Rivers posted earlier would be outstanding, if anyone knows where those came from:

Who makes these mudguards???
(I feel Rivers' bike is a definite Hot)

I've been waiting for my new wheels before posting it here. Now it needs a Sprint SL stem and SL-70 bars, that'll be next.

Thanks!! I'm really happy with this setup, both in performance and aesthetics. I'm going to hit the wheels with some polish, maybe this weekend, to give them more of a satin sheen. I'll post some before/afters, maybe in another thread.

This is one of the best looking, non-aero, non-carbon builds I've seen. IMO, perfectly done. HOT.

Agreed, top tube is interesting, but def hot overall! Cockpit is perfect, that's how I want mine, more level. For anyone wondering about fit concerns, it's still within the range I was given from my Retul fitting, so it's not just aesthetic lol I like a good combination of form and function.

Thanks! I'm loving it. I think with the Sprint stem and SL-70 bars it will be perfect.

I have the Service Course SL stem now, the Sprint SL stem is -12* so should get the bars more level, plus it's more aero and looks great with the SL-70 bars.

I've owned both sets of handlebars(SL-70 Aero and SL70 Ergo), and prefer the Ergo bars by far. The Aero looks better, but in use I found that I preferred the Ergo.

I would also prefer the -17degree version of the SL Course stem, over the Sprint SL.

Nice. Steer tube/stem area could use some improving though.
