Older thread, but.....
Turns 26 this year! Swapped out the old black steel flat bars and the saddle. Brooks Professional on there now. Great rider! Still looks new! Currently filling my need for a flat bar Salsa Marrakesh. If I get the Salsa, this one will get drop bars and bar end shifters!

Very nice! What mirror is that? It looks compact and slim, but still effective. I like how it's outboard of the grip.

It is a retractable Zefal. Unbreakable, non-glass mirrored surface. I used a right-side mirror, so I could position it below the bars. Less trouble when you flip the bike over to fix a flat, or work on when you are out on the road. It has a bar-end plug that inserts into the bars.

Bikes: Wow, where to start? A collection of 1980's and early 90's road, touring, and MTBs from the likes of Trek, Schwinn, Cannondale, Fuji, Miyata, Univega, Panasonic, and GT. It has gotten rather out of control.

Here is a pic of my mid-90's Giant Innova. My neighbor bought it new and rode it very infrequently. In 2012 she had a hip replaced and vowed never to get on a bike again. I bought it for next to nothing, changed out the seat, shifters, grips, and added bar ends. Overall, it is a very nice riding bike and I like the simplicity of it.

Sorry to resurrect an older thread here, but this Giant Innova above matches the geometry of a 1997 Giant Squadron I have. There is very little info on the Squadron, but it definitely has a similar frame style as the Innova. The weird thing is that many of the Innovas don't appear to have the stretched geometry as the one above that seems to match the Squadron. I found mine here in Cincinnati, but the info I have found on them shows up only in Canada or Europe. CHeck out the thread I started here on my Squadron https://www.bikeforums.net/classic-v...-squadron.html

1990 Trek 820
i am the original owner. I got this with my tax refund in 1990. I was living in Chicago and rode around a bit but nothing serious. I moved back to Michigan in 1992. I started riding every day before work.
In 1994, I rode up the west coast of Michigan, (450 miles in 7 days) and realized I should get a road bike to tackle all those hills. I got a 1995 Trek 1220. I let my step son abuse the 820.
I didn’t ride for too many years while raising my boys. I finally started riding again in 2014. I started with the 820 because I was 100 pounds heavier and didn’t think my road bike could handle it. I lost weight and started riding the 1220 again.
I broke my collarbone inAugust 2018, I went back to the 820 because it put less weight on my shoulder. Ten months later and I am still riding this because it is so comfortable. I would like to get a front rack and some more upright bars. And a Brooks C19 saddle.
