SRAM to Shimano switch on caad 10
Hi, I have a 2011 CAAD 10 with SRAM rival groupset. I want to change over to the newest Shimano 105 for a variety of reasons. What do I need to consider in cahnging over? I'll also be going from 10 to 11 so.. thanks !

Non omnino gravis
New levers, front and rear derailleurs, cables, and cassette. You can get away with keeping the current crank and brakes, but as the difference between the partial group and the full group is all of about $100, I would just get the entire group.

most pressing is the front derailleur needs replacing. i've read and heard that shimano is a bit more sturdy and less finicky to get dialed in and my bike takes a beating here in NYC. i also wanted to try shimano's offerings as a point of comparison to SRAM. finally, there's a bit of nostalgia as my dad always road shimano on his old school cannondale
noodle soup/shelbyfv
this is the part is wasn't sure about. i'm still running the original RS10 and plan on upgrading the wheelset while i'm at it

Shimano FDs are absolutely easier to get working right than SRAM's. That's putting it mildly and politely. I'd elaborate, but it would involve a lot of swearing.

Shimano is just generic junk , Sram the best out , facts , if you cant run sram you probably should not be on a bicycle , of i was you id invest in some penny loafers and get to stepping , you.problaly like soy lates , and gender nutreual purses .. 😋

Just get a Yaw FD. Even fiddlier to set up, but they work great, no trimming.

Yeah, I prefer to set the angle with the chain out of the way so I can see the teeth. It's no biggie when you know the deal, huh. For extra points, set the cable tension without a barrel adjuster...
I reckon Yaw is the tits. Though it's a pity there's no bracing screw like on Shimano, or at least the dinky little wedges on EPS.
