Tuesday Night Tandem Ride update: My wife and I did a sedate 26.3 miler, maybe 14.6 mph or so. Her back managed fairly well. I kept it very steady and the rpms around 90 instead of our usual 95-100 so we didn't bounce any and aggravate her back. Nice weather, low 70s and maybe a 10-12 mph wind. Perfect ride for her.

Still kicking.
Hello. Been bogged down with work and personal restoration projects, newest being a Miyata from the late 1980's.

I just replaced the carbon pads on my Propel. They were those deep ruby red pads, forgot who made them but they were recommended in the 41 last year. Anyway, the fronts were totally shot. According to my fine, red, hard-bound, log book(s), they had almost exactly 840 miles on them. They did stop well, though.

Seriously, I've owned three sets of carbon (rim) wheels) and never been impressed.
