Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Lol. Sometimes, just to be an donkey, I want to close the door heavily just enough to wake her up, but she has it hard as it is. She has to tolerate me on top of her demanding job as well.

Don’t know. Just looked up Boaty McBoatface on Marine Traffic and (s)he’s over on the North Sea side of GB. Daughter has mainly been in the Irish Sea, the Bay of Biscay, and the North Atlantic.

My 12 year old tells us he wants to be a marine scientist every time we go to Baltimore aquarium. I’m afraid by the time he gets to be one, there won’t be much of a “marine” to study the science of.

Prolly.

I actually have a grinder, but it's one of those crappy $10 ones that is 25 years old, and I suspect it's better to just get pre-ground from Wegman's.

I've been using a Nespresso the last year. I like that I can get several different blends and sizes from 1.7 5oz espresso to 14 oz. regular. Their decaf is pretty good, too. I really like their Cuban. I also have their Aerocino machine for frothing.

Only downside is the pods are expensive and I have to run a rinse/cleaning cycle everyday to keep it working properly.

I use to be a huge coffee snob and still get miffed occasionally in coffee shops when they do stupid things. I've gotten over a lot of it, obviously, or I wouldn't be using a Nespresso.

But, yesterday, I was at a coffee shop and ordered a Macchiato and asked for it in something other than their standard paper cups. I was told, no, the non-paper cups and glasses on the espresso warmer were for show.

I hate it when I order a drink "for here," and they don't give me a real cup when they plainly have them on hand.

I'm out of coffee beans. I'll probably stop at Circle K and get an extra large Styrofoam cup of coffee on my way to the bike shop.

I have not been to cadence since they closed their flagship store on Main St in Manayunk, maybe 4 years ago? How is the new location?
