Team Rabobank Colnago C40 with Hoscar Art Decor saddle

I feel very fortunate to have obtained a team robobank colnago c40 with hoscar art decor saddle.
Beautiful frame and saddle, rides very nice, these models were famous for having won many of the TdF Paris Roubaix events.
Came from Europe and I was told it was a spare bike.
Its in excellent condition so do not think it was used much, maybe not on the cobbles?
So how rare is the hoscar art decor saddle?
Im thinking I may swap off so I dont wear it down, especially since they are scarce?
Did not find any searching the net.
I may even sell it to recover part of my investment although hate the thought of it no longer being part of this bike since it has some nice history which I can not prove, ie not COA etc.
Opinions?

Sell something else. That saddle needs to stay with the bike. I'd probably take it off and store it as you said.

I had a Colnago Hoskar saddle in a more true Rabobank, just orange and blue without the man on top. I found it to be an uncomfortable saddle and never really used it. Sold it a year or two ago for about $50. The ones like yours with the rider logo were selling for more but not tons more. I got a Selle Bassano C40 saddle and it’s pretty nice.

The C40 is a wonderful bike and I suspect you will love yours. Is that a Rabobank paint job? The ones I’ve seen were more prominently Orange and blue, but of course it might have changed over the years.

Yes, its a Rabobank paint job and the orange does not show that well in the pictures I provided. Has that Shimano added on the one chainstay rather than the colnago like on the other side. I agree with you on the saddle comfort and its worth hanging as a piece of art.

Very nice bike and saddle. The combination is most desirable in my eyes. I'd probably store the saddle too.

The Selle Bassano C40 saddle must also be pretty rare. I found many diff Selle Bassano models but not sure if any were c40 models?

I’ve seen them labeled as Master and Master/C40.

Thanks for sharing your pix. I will be on the lookout for such a saddle as I love Colnago branded equipment which is usually top quality.
I have this Cinelli seat on my Super model which I really enjoy. They are expensive when I do see them available.

This is what I decided to do. Swapped for a Rolls saddle and added leather bar tape to give the bike a more classic look and feel. Ride was outstanding, really like this setup, had a nice fast and comfy ride.

What does the Hoskar refer to? The model? Brand? Sorry if this is a dumb question. I have a Rabobank C40 and would love to get ahold of one of these. Thanks!
