Anyone recognize this bike? The Cinelli logos on the chainstays is throwing me off, but it looks like it could be a repainted lugged frame. The headbadge almost looks the size/shape of Trek?

I'm a C&V'er and a road cyclist, so I don't know much about track!

The dropouts look very cinelli-like. If you search "cinelli dropout" you'll see the similarities.
But I haven't seen lugged forks on any of their frames.
And I really doubt that a cinelli would go for $100 unless it is old and from an era that no one cares about, or has total crap parts on it (which this kind of looks like).
The cranks don't look bad though and look like vuelta pistas
The wheels look like they have unsealed pot metal hubs in them, but the rims look decent.
I've seen some very good bikes with like ENO cranks, ritchey cockpit, etc going for $250ish but that's in this area so my opinion is probably a lot different.
Doesn't look like a bad bike for $100.
Personally, i'd get it if I could tell that it wasn't made of hi-ten. Something I can verify by lifting it (hi-ten is very heavy).
I need something else to take me around a few blocks here and there.

I'm not the best CL sniper though, so i'd wait for other opinions.

Penn State has a Craigslist? Cool! Went to PSU quite a while ago (class of 2002!). Will have to check out Craigslist tonight to see what turns up. Stay tuned

the Cinelli logo on the chainstay is nothing more than the end tape for terminating Cinelli handlebar tape.

Looks huge, and is a conversion, but on the plus side you get a water bottle cage. That's a rarity for track bikes. Also, Letours are very nice riding steel bikes. Plus you can ride Singlespeed or fixed on this bike.

Would probably change the brake pads, they look very old.

If I've learned anything here, it's always look under tape or stickers on chainstays. It may be covering a hole with putty in it.

trying to thin the herd. and yes it's a 63cm. I quite enjoy it, just do not need it.

and interestingly, the city for the PS craigslist is State college, but once on the site, it says Penn State.
I have not actually ridden much around PS. I ride around Bucknell U in Lewisburg, often. I just scour the local CL's from time-to-time to see if I find anything interesting.

I'm not saying that this is for sure a 'Nelli, or not...but I can tell you for a fact that the early Gazettas had a segmented or "lugged" fork.

But WTF OP? For a hundy, if it fits you, how can you go wrong? Looks decent enough and after all - it may just be a Cinelli

It does actually sorta look like this gazetta. could be an aftermarket fork.

does the partial image of the headbadge look anything Cinelli-ish? Or can it be identified as decidedly not Cinelli? I have found that's it's relatively difficult to find 80's Cinelli catalogs on the inter-webs. Any other identifiers such as date codes or BB/fork end stamps etc..? Again, I know little about Cinelli frames.

1. the frame is not my size, and 2. It's located about 75 minutes from me. I was hoping someone could identify it, to either save me or require me a trip. If it were local, I'd likely check it out.
