Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

For the 35mm deep version? The rims are probably ~450g ea, the front hub is ~100g and the rear is ~230g. They'd have to be some super heavy spokes (they're 2/1.8/2 ) to hit 1600, let alone 1800.

I remember one of the sets of wheels stated the hubs are Shimano Claris. The rest just said either Shimano or high grade hubs.

Sorry - was looking at the 58's when I typed that out.
The 35s are probably a bit lighter than that

That being said the hubs on the 35's are Powerways. I couldnt find any information on the hubs for the 58s. (DR-811) but assume they are not Reynolds hubs.

Powerway hubs here -
Power way front hub
Powerway rear hub

Just dropped a tad over US$1250 (free worldwide delivery) on a pair of deCADENce 49mm tubulars, weighing 1080g... 35% off sale on everything.

Dude gets mad reviews for his gear and service.

POC helmets on sale at Competitive Cyclist, Wednesday only, during their Tour de France hoohah.

If you've got a hankering for one of those Swedish gawky-chic beer coolers for your noggin, now's the time.

I got a POC Omne Air Spin a couple of weeks ago from another dealer at regular price, $150. If I'd waited I could have saved $30.

The Octal Raceday is down to $160. If I needed another helmet I'd get one.

The Omne Air Spin is more of a commuter/casual helmet with excellent air flow, completely different from the Bern and Nutcase brain boilers that are totally impractical for Texas summer. I've been wearing it even on fast road bike club rides because the air flow is better than my lighter, smaller Bell Formula MIPS.

If I needed a new helmet, I'd definitely look into one of these,

If you’re in Metro Detroit and inneed of an effective inexpensive repair stand, the Aldi’s in Redford has 7 or so left in stock at $17.50 each.

I have been scouring my local Aldi's, but nothing in Cincinnati so far. Wish Detroit was closer

I’d ship it to you but it’s certainly far more expensive than the stand just to ship.

Wheel Science BOGO1/2

Wheel Science is having a buy one, get one half off sale.

Use the code "train-n-race" to get 50% off a set of VORTEX series wheels when you purchase an ELEMENTAL wheelset.
https://www.wheelscience.com/

I have not used thier wheels. It does look like a pretty good deal. Checking it out the total in my cart was just under 1700 for two sets of Carbon wheels with free shipping.

You can get either rim or disc brakes. Or one set of each if you need wheels for 2 different bikes.

I think the logos are atrocious but you can get non-logo (stealth) rims for no charge.

Knog light

Focus camera has the knog 1000L trail light for $69 shipped. Pretty decent light for the price.

And I can't post the link...so, search for it on lifestyle dot focuscamera dot com.

https://www.bikewagon.com/ has Cannondale airspeed LX mini pump for $7.99, 8 left, ****e only. I bought one about 10 days ago and used it for the first time today. Very nice, light weight, aluminum body-handle-lever. I do not know how of psi I got the tire to, it is rated up to 120. I know it was not that high, but plenty high enough, pretty quickly, for me to go 6 miles to LBS to top it off. I bought 2 more today because I like it better than pumps I already have.

7Mesh discontinued this two years ago but I noticed a few in stock at Wiggle. They are American sized, not ultra small like the European brands.

I have this jacket and can confess, the jacket is awesome. Lightweight. Protects against the wind nicely. Compresses down to a small package for stuffing in the back pocket. Can't recommend the jacket enough.
