After days of cold and wet, we had fantastic weather for the annual Oktoberfest ride. Total of 104 miles with a break for a couple steins, brats and sauerkraut.
And unless @Trsnrtr goes back out for another ride, I may actually sit atop the Addiction weekly leader board on Strava, for once.

Oh, I almost forgot the one dark cloud on the ride. Early on, maybe 15 miles in, or so, we saw a bunch of people and stopped cars on the road a couple hundred yards up. One person came running towards us, waving us away and around whatever was going on. There were parks on either side of the road, so we jumped on one of the park paths that ran parallel to the road. Through the trees, we caught a brief glimpse of a small car with a broken windshield and a shirtless runner laying in blood, in the middle of the crosswalk linking the two parks. Just soul-crushing. One of my guys said that he saw the runner moving, so hopefully he'll be okay.

nice method, but still eyeballing involved. My OCD can’t handle stem/wheel alignment that way. Probably I’ll just end up using three pieces of 1 by dimensioned lumber to build a “cage” with a hole to accept the laser pointer to the top piece. And to make @Trsnrtr happy with a V-notch in the middle to secure the plumb bob from

I just can’t. I know it is aligned, and I know deep down I did it right, but still can’t let it go until I verify with instruments. I’m taking medication for it, and talking to my therapist about it regularly, we think in a year or two I will be ready to align the saddle through eyeballing.

I don't really follow them too closely. Just enough to make chit-chat with patients who are fans. So I am aware of events of yesterday but it does not bother me much.

Mist is rare down here. All burned off now and getting hot. Should get ready to pull up the anchor and motor down the creek to the nearby marina for some ice for drinks, but the boat is still covered with dew and if I walk around the decks, I’ll get them dirty.

Yowsa. After yesterday's ride, I weighed in this morning about 3 lbs lighter than the day before. That might explain why I'm still in a MOREMOREMORE mode when it comes to calories and water.
