Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I know I'm late, but butterfly. My understanding is that butterflies have smooth antenna and moths have furry ones.

Butterflies also sit with wings folded up, moths lay flat

Hey all. I ride a Crumpton with Campy Record 10 speed purchased in 2004 , new super torque chai wheel set.

‘I have a click, seems towards the front end and right side. It comes with pedal position of right crank from 2-3 o’clock. Sometimes also on left but mostly right. When moving along on the flats without hard effort it is not present. When the pressure increases or I start going uphill it comes on. Present in or out of saddle, large or small chain wheel and any of rear sprockets. All bolts , screws etc tight, no sign of chain or wheel rub on front deraillure cage. Any ideas what could be causing it? It. Is. Driving. Me. Nuts !!!

Your shoe hitting the front derailleur cable? worn bearings in either pedals or bottom bracket?

My elegant, lightweight and aero seatpost did not arrive today on day 4. Arrival was supposed to be in 2-4 days. Stuff happens.

if you’re like me, the answer will come to you like a bolt from the blue after about seven months of agony. However, in the meantime, grease anything which contacts a dropout, nip up your seat and stem bolts, and put your keys in a different pocket. If you’re bored, overhaul your BB. One more observation: echolocation by the rider, in these cases, is practically useless.

Atoms of heavy aluminium are subliming off all the time, so it is becoming lighter with each passing day.

Agree. Last time I had this problem it was cured by a dab of grease on the front QR skewer threads. Try it!

And, occasionally, rear hub noise can be mistaken for BB noise. So, check that adjustment too.

My trekking sandals and bottom base layer didn't make it to town in time to get out on the truck for delivery. No one is going to be in the office on Monday. I hope the package gets left outside the suite or they come back on Tuesday. I need the stuff before I leave Wednesday morning.
