Good test for determining when a person has had one too many beers?

Snapped the visor clean off that helmet. Wrong kind of fork for opening beer bottles, if you ask me.

Now this is my idea of a beer bike. https://www.bikeforums.net/21144362-post1084.html

1. Get a front bag

2. Carry a church key (aka “bottle wrench”)in it

3. learn to ride a straight no-handed while you pop the cap.

Perhaps he watched "Eddy Merckx. The Greatest Show on Earth (1975)".

Fast forward to 20:50 where you see the racers at a store then to the 21:00 minutes point where you see them with lots of bottles. For fun, watch the guy trying to open a bottle by using a recessed Allen bolt stem at 22:03 on.

For more fun check out the mechanic adjusting the rear derailleur at 32:35.

Cheers

Indeed. Built in opener, quieter, lighter, easier to store when empty (crush), won't break when they hit the ground, and more widely accepted for recycling.

I thought the follow car driver/passenger was supposed to open them and hand them to the rider. Maybe I'm wrong.

Reminds me of the joke:

I rode my bike to the liquor store to buy a bottle of whiskey. Now, looking at the glass bottle, I figured it could be dangerous if I wrecked the bike and the bottle broke, so I decided to drink the whiskey before I rode home. Good idea, too, because I fell over four times on the ride home.

Better yet, replace the liner in your Camelbak with the bag from a box wine.

It doesn't have to be hard to open a beer bottle while riding. Here's one of many practical solutions:

Y'know, that clip came to mind when I posted, but I didn't get around to adding it before you did. Funny, this was the first time I noticed that the guy never succeeded in using the stem to open his bottle, and resorted to using his teeth(!)

"A closer look at the cyclist using the front wheel to crack open the lid of the bottle which unsuccessfully causes it to jam."
On the contrary, he seemed successful.

There was a video of a Grand Tour (I forget which video or Tour it was) that I saw a few years ago and in that video one of the riders opens a bottle by using his rear brake.

Ah I found that video!

Check out the guy at the 3:00 minutes point.

Cheers
