I honestly couldn't tell you. I tend to try a local roaster's recommendation for espresso and either I like it or don't and I move on; I pay more attention to the roast and results, I rarely even note the type of bean(s) used. It's kinda like bike frame materials - there may be some inherent differences, but it's not even close to being the whole story.
Also, the expected flavor profile doesn't seem to be nearly as narrow as previous; dark and bold used to be the norm but, particularly with "third wave" roasters, you're starting to see much lighter roasts with more delicate notes. If I'm being honest, I sometimes struggle to get the most out of these at home, but in the hands of a good barista, they're awesome. Oh, and then there are the ones that go to the other extreme with hit-you-over-the-head dark. Don't care too much for those.

Yesterday evening I saw a woman get stopped for trying to steal a slice of pizza from Whole Foods. The must have been tailing her because two security guard stopped her at the door and went through her stuff. I saw one of them make a quick-dial call, which I assumed was to 911. Finally got tired of hanging around to see what happened next (The police station was a block away, so who knows when the cops were going to show?), but I don't think the guard was hanging out with her to talk about the weather.

Our housekeeper arrived a few minutes ago, in tears. If we understand her correctly, her husband informed her, by text, during her hour long bus trip over, that he was leaving her to go live with his lover. She and my wife immediately hopped into the car to go see what's up with their one year old.

Not much to assume. They stopped her at the door, confiscated her 'za, searched her bags and took a photo of her driver's license. Then one of the guards hung out with her outside for a while. If he was going to let her go I think he would have and gone back to patrolling the store. Thed woman was very non-descript. Looked to be mid-30s. Not shabbily dressed. Backpack and a pocketbook. Something about her actions must have got their Spidey senses tingling because they stopped her at the bottom of the steps that are clear on the other side of the store from where the pizza station is.
It was the second time I saw someone get pinched for shoplifting. The first time was earlier this year. The cops where there. Guys had a bunch of stuff.

People do cruel stuff like that. My current supervisor got a voice mail from her second husband telling her to check her email. He had sent her an email informing her he was going off with another woman. BITD her first husband worked at the railroad with her. He started having an affair. The guy was travelling to an area where we had a large yard too frequently for what his job entailed and charging motel rooms to his corporate card. Someone got suspicious, investigated the matter, and he got fired. That's how she found out about the affair.

This particular Whole Foods has private security. Sometimes they are visibly armed. I have also seen city police working the store, but not in a while. Maybe they replaced the cops with armed security to save money. City labor and here in Philly is very expensive. A few years ago the local bike club moved the start/finish of annual century to a location outside the city for that very reason. For example, the club liked to brew up a big urn of coffee for riders. That required the use of an electrical outlet on the side of a city building. That, in turn, required the club to pay to have a city electrician on duty. WTH?
