Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Not that it matters, but I looked up the June price.

When it's below 50F I rarely drink anything while riding. The water is too cold.

Similar, at least below 45 though I usually do a mid-ride stop somewhere for hydration..

I don't know how/why you go all that way and only stop once. Even with my miserly water-sipping, I've got to make stops.

I still drink in the cold, but typically a bottle lasts me 2-3 hours, as opposed to 1 hour (or less) when it’s warm out.

I'd be tempted to upgrade to 18 volt drill instead of battery replacement, if you can find a deal on one.

9.6 V is kind of puny, especially for driving screws.

I’m not sure that would be called anything else. It’s how AG’s parents got here and they certainly consider themselves immigrants.

I mean heck, my ancestors immigrated. It’s just been 355 years.

Damn skippy.

And yes, technically everyone outside of the Northern Africa/ Middle East region is an immigrant, in the sense that there are no wild horses in America (only feral escaped domesticated ones). Humans are not native to the Americas, full stop.

My Patriots' were flat all season, but still were on level with the rest of the league. We're super spoiled here in New England, but still have had a pleasant run so far. We need to see what goes on in our off season.
To the haters, enjoy yourselves, but be honest, you would trade what you have for a team like the Patriots.

Speaking for myself and others I know, it's not so much the team's success but the prevailing attitudes that people hate. Belechick has a real nasty attitude when he's winning, not so much now. I used to admire Brady for his humility but then his attitude soured also with the continued success. And Kraft just exudes the kind of arrogance typical of the filthy rich. And then there was the cheating. And you wonder why the hate?

The Cowboys drew a lot of hate too back in their heyday, but other than for that simpleton Jones the prevailing attitudes amongst the players were never nasty IMO. And there was no cheating. Partying, yes, but no cheating.

This. And many of the fans. Though I do only like the NFL when there’s some intrigue as to who will win, and dynasties destroy that. Lest we forget, for nine years the Patriots did NOT win the Super Bowl, despite the fact that they were still a very strong team and always dominated the early-season picks for SB winner.
