What web based map ride program does your team/group use?
We currently use mapmyride to map out new routes and it is less than perfect.
Some riders cant get routes to open and live track on their phones.
And those with gps units cant easily get the gps/gpx info because the route needs to run thru another website to turn into a gpx file for them to upload.
So- anyone ride with a group and use a service they like that easily creates routes and easily turns into gpx files?

Ride With GPS free edition is what I mostly use for route creation, and the bike club I'm in (Potomac Pedalers) has a paid subscription. Almost all club rides post RideWithGPS files on the club web site.
I also use Strava to track my overall biking (and hiking) mileage. I'd been using the free version but was given a full paid "Summit" version as a birthday present, and you can create routes and downloadable files there, too. I think it is easier in RideWithGPS, but Strava does have one cool feature: you can create a route and then turn on a switch that maximizes segments that are favored by Strava users. That means that you are more likely to end up on better bicycling roads, but in my experience it usually means a longer route - there is a trade-off.

Another for RwGPS - I'm not aware of another free way of getting turn by turn nav on my Wahoo.

RWGPS is what I knew of already and was leaning towards by default before asking. So given the unanimous response, looks like its what Ill suggest.
Was sorta hoping for something else that is great and I didnt know, but hey- group thought works for me!

Strava. If we're doing a group ride, we're riding together as a group. I don't know why everyone would need to have it on their own individual phones/computers.

the group is 30 teens and 15-20 adults. Pace is totally different and there are 10-15 groups each ride. Most adults dont need the info, but a few do.

When I post rides, besides the route link, I attach the TCX file for it. With RWGPS I find the TCX works better than the FIT. The TCX download is only in the Classic mode. With all routes, mine and those from others, I go back through carefully in Edit mode and fix it all up after I design and save the route. There are always little issues. The ability to easily adjust everything is a great feature.

Lots of groups rotate leaders.. It's better if whoever is leading at the time, doesn't have to rely on someone back in the pack yelling each time there's a turn coming up.
