Hi folks,
I recently got a "bargain" set of Suntour bar end shifters. One small problem. The hex nut is missing from one of them and the screw that holds the ratcheting mechanism is the wrong one. It's just a normal threaded screw. Surprise, both of the slotted lock nut were on them. I can make do, but was hoping some one would have these parts.

No I think it is real. Any steel is real person will tell you carbon fibre is not the same. And the joke is about the fibres in the matrix, you could put carpet fibers in some parts and still come up with something that will look good and possibly work. Still a good analogy/joke Smiles, MH

Editing this for easier reading: I bought the wrong size spokes from an eBay seller (he cut and roll-threaded them accurately I just gave him the wrong sizes!)

Hi folks,
The co-op in Salem. OR where I volunteer started a wheel building program a year ago. When it began we had a stock of about 50 NOS rim that had come to us from shops in the area that had closed or others that considered them stale inventory. They were a mix of styles and hole counts.
Now, having used available recycled/rebuilt hubs with applicable hole count, we are down to about a dozen 28 hole rims. So, we need some 28 hole front hubs to continue the program. They don’t need to be anything special, just serviceable and rebuildable. Also, they don’t need skewers. We have a multitude of vintage parts to trade.

This is a long shot, but what is the freewheel on that Maillard hub? Is it a Suntour? And if so, is it French threaded? Normally the Suntour freewheels that are French threaded have markings on the boss that takes the freewheel remover. Like this:
If it is a Suntour with these "metric" markings I would do whatever it takes to get it in my hands.

Unfortunately no markings on the inner boss of the freewheel. And yes, it is Suntour5 speed using the two prong remover. If ya want it let me know, I am just trying to satisfy the War Department that says I have too much bike stuff here. It will look much better in your shop than mine! Smiles, MH

And to anyone who's reading this, I would really really like a Suntour Perfect or Pro Compe with the "metric" markings. Otherwise I'm going to have to either feed myself to the dogs on Ebay (already been burned twice in this quest) or do some janky weld-and-cut for French threads on an existing freewheel body. I would like to avoid that if possible.

Hi all, I'm currently on the hunt for the following parts for my 70's Gitane, '70's Di Lorenzo and '91 Zaskar:Huret downtube cable guide
Huret top tube cable clamps
Stronglight bottom bracket – French thread 118mm length. Would also consider Campy
front Mafac racer/competition brake mounting bolt (looking for a nice shiny one, I already have a perfectly functional one)
Simplex seatpost
French bottle cages
Magura hs33 or hs22 left lever (the whole unit, with clamp etc) for a raceline rebuild
Weyless (the vintage 70s one) 27.2 seatpost. Would also consider other smaller sizes

SC, The freewheel came right off, Looks like someone actually slathered some Campy grease liberally on the threads. I locked the freewheel down and loosened the rings. If you have a FW body they should screw right back down. PM me the shipping addy. Do you want the ENG hub as well I am going to break the wheel down tonight as the spokes are too close to the rim tape for my comfort level. Smiles, MH

Available: Bluemels Lightweight fenders
I have a set of white Bluemels Lightweight fenders in well-used but pretty acceptable condition--some straightenable minor bends in the stays and hardware, but no breaks or cracks in the fenders themselves as far as I can see.
I would like to trade them for a set of Suntour barcons. Everybody has a few sets of those lying around, right?
Lazily not posting pictures now. But at the first faint expression of interest from anyone, I will snap a few and throw them up here.

Thanks! maybe its already gone. I looked around for it, but I couldn't find a Campy french thread one for that price. I do need the complete set up - cups and spindle. So maybe you were talking about a different listing for only cups or something

I went to ebay and searched for Campagnolo bottom bracket parts. First listing is by nedaxe, french cups for $20, scroll down and vievelo has 10 lock rings for $5@, There are some bearing sets on there but you can put it together with loose 1/4" balls(about $4 sourced at LBS). The size of the spindle will be determined by the BB width. Those range anywhere from $10 to $40 depending on the seller. But if you get the parts off ebay and advertise on BF looking for just a spindle you should come out ok. HTH, MH
