Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

And I woke up this morning not craving coffee!!. I had a cup of instant, just to be safe. But the craving never came. Could it be the end of an era? I would like nothing better.

Yes indeed. The legs are beat all to hell and the trainer felt good. I think the QL vulnerability is related to a touch of scoliosis. Probably need a good trainer to work with me and find a way to be conscious of whether my back is straight.

That would be sweet, I think we have started over nighting there. I know I am in Tri Cities every week when I am at work.

Neat! Pacers are neat little airplanes.

It's amazing how much better they look as taildraggers than their tricycle counterparts.

Those are some pretty meaty tires, what did you do in Alaska?

Must not be Tri Cities, WA, since you're saying it to VV like he knows where they are.

Got hired for aerial mapping. Did that for a family who bid the contract, they map most of the northern half of the united states now I believe. While I was there I got hired by era now called raven to fly 99 and Dash 8s but they canceled my class and I ended back in the lower 48.

Flying in Alaska was a trip. I loved every second of it. The wife and I were prepared to move there when I got the job with Raven, but I don’t think I could convince her to move there now.

Excellent. It's amazing how stuff is all tied together. I have to be super conscious of technique, just because I slacked on PT. My fault, and too late now.

Cool. As you well know, a nice climbing workout can be found just a few miles away from the airport.

I honestly never left the hotel except for the cracker barrel. I’ll have to look for it the next time I am there.

If I wanted to do this I'd have to get MoAlpha to sail across the Indian Ocean.

BTW, I've been on several group tandem tours and to numerous tandem rallies. Coupled (never heard anyone call them 'breakaways') tandems are as common as non-coupled and if it's an European tandem tour, most are coupled.

Also, a friend of mine has a Moots touring machine that is coupled. It could easily be a daily rider.

Edit: Our tandem is not coupled. Couplers add weight and we don't go to Europe often enough anymore to warrant the cost which is about $2k on a tandem.

I gather that's a 20+ year old clip, but that doesn't look like the track at all.

Speaking of regional restaurants, anyone ever eat at Krystals? They declared bankruptcy today.
