Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

We ate at a CB, while we were on the road over Thanksgiving. We did not pick up any kitsch in the gift shop.

We don’t have them, though I’ve seen them when traveling. Never ate at one.

My mother, bless her eternal resting soul, was a born klutz. She refused to go in Cracker Barrel’s because of having to negotiate the junk. Seriously.

Plenty. I can only make suggestions. It's up to the patients to agree to the plan. Usually they do, but plenty of times they don't.

I also tell them to eat healthy, cut down on the carbs, exercise more, and lose weight. That happens even less often.

Coffee is a funny thing to me. I did not drink it when I was younger. I got through 100 hour work-weeks during residency on pure fear/adrenaline.

I started drinking it at around 10 years ago.

I have gradually increased my usual daily dose to 2 mugs in the morning and 1 mug in the afternoon. These are big mugs, probably 16 oz each.

p.s. I drink it black, no cream or sugar. Except when we are in Spain, I really love their "cafe con leche" which is 50% espresso and 50% milk. It's decadent and delicious.

I go to bed looking forward to my morning coffee. However, I've switched to very high quality, organic, Japanese (I don't trust the Chinese) green tea during the day. The taste is good, the stuff is healthy, and the buzz is wonderful and you can keep it going all day.

I am in North Texas and there is a Cracker Barrel like every 20 or so miles in DFW. One happens to be like 10 minutes from my house. It's probably been well over a year since I was there because it's just not a healthy option. But yeah if I want damn good pancakes I go there. With all this talk, I'll probably end up there this weekend.

Because of the way that Shimano works the trickle-down tech there are 105 groups that are basically identical to the previous gen Dura Ace, so they are essentially the same if you compare the right groupsets.

Has been mine too, in the past. Recently though, it's another routine. The opportunity is presenting itself to kick an addiction I've thought would be impossible. I'm going for it.
I was in the hospital for a week, some years ago, and could have kicked it then. I chose not to. Second chances are rare.

This too. Thanks for the green tea reminder. I have a large stash that I don't seem to get to.
