I do like 600 levers; I have them on at least a couple bikes. But that's because that's what came up for sale. I buy all my parts from the C&V for sale thread. Bikes too, actually. But I'm not buying any more bikes. 600 levers with Dia Compe calipers.

I suppose I could trade in my coffee addiction for an ibuprophen addiction.

And I have a left shoulder I can't put any weight on. I can now lift my arm over my head, and tip my head back and look up, neither of which I could do a couple days ago. But put any pressure on that shoulder and it rebels mightily. All along I've been thinking the problem was in the neck. And part if it clearly was. We'll see what she says tomorrow.
I suppose I could trade in my coffee addiction for an ibuprophen addiction.

A 64 mile ride when I was in shape for 50 miles. That's when it began. I rode north to the beach, had lunch with friends, and rode back. I struggled against sunset and fatigue for the last 15 or so km. This was a couple months ago. It progressively got worse. I went the ibuprophen route to keep riding, and then a friend showed up, who does ortho-bionomy. After a couple treatments, she recommended the osteo. Both of them homed in on my hips first thing, which I found/find odd/interesting. Definitely something going on in the shoulder as well. Feels like nerve damage. My shoulder and upper arm only. Doesn't reach the elbow. Tingles sometimes. Feels like an electric shock sometimes. The neck was "out" and showed great improvement after it was fixed. I'm anxious to see what she says tomorrow. After the appointment, I will pick up some spokes and continue with my wheel-building, just in case I ever get to ride again.

Not that cold here, but it's not warm, and it's raining. Fake miles on the bike then a few real ones running.

Heat down stair is officially broken. It’s 56 degrees downstairs. Crazy the one time we go out of town this happens. Checked out the holocaust museum, and natural history museum yesterday. Gunna hit up the air and space museum today and head home.
So the wife and I saw something that was a little crazy to us.
Temperature was around 30 degrees last night around 6 pm, wind chill was 27 ish, This lady rides her bike by with a baby in the front seat. The baby had no hat on, was just in pajamas and her cheeks were bright red. I know Im a wimp in the cold but that seemed extreme. My cheeks hurt and I didn’t have the extra windchill affect of being on a moving bike.
Happy hump day everybody.

I work in the office of an aerospace machine shop. Primarily I generate cost and lead time estimates for our customers, but I also put together machining process drawings and inspection sheets.
For a lot of parts I can make a pretty good guess at the total number of operations and their respective setup and cycle times, I've never actually done it.

It's like my metabolism finally kicked in this morning. No circulation issues while running despite the cold rain, and it actually helped me vent heat instead of making me want to curl up back in bed.

If you have time and can swing it, the part near Dulles is amazing. Maybe swing out on the way home? https://airandspace.si.edu/
