Two small dings from calipers on drive side of downtube, otherwise frame looks clean.

Wheelsmith-built wheelset and campy and Cinelli parts alone were well worth the ask (campy hubs, crank, BB, headset, post, FD, cinelli stem and criterium bar). Frameset is my size, but not sure the actual model, re-sticker when repainted suggests "Special Professional". Portacatena dropouts would put it late 70s, maybe early 80s? Seller says Columbus tubing. Still need to tear down headset/bb, maybe I'll find the original color then and confirm tubing.

Interesting find at a great price though. I'll probably clean up and treat the rust for now to slow up the oxidation. Maybe drop a couple hundred in refinishing later, I think this one is worth the effort.

Have you tried the Spray.Bike products yet? They've got some great classic colors in their palette.

Cool. We need a sticky: "Show us bikes you bought on the "Are you looking for one of these?" thread" thread.

Trek 400, 52 cm, $50 - Seattle

If I was closer to Seattle, I would snap this up. This Trek 400 appears to be from either 1991 or 1992 and it has True Temper (see top tube) tubing, despite the seller saying it's constructed with a Tange tubeset.

Trek 400 road bike, 52 cm. Tange frame, 12 speed, 700 mavic wheel set, suntour superb group

I wouldn't fly over for the warehouse sale but what is ridiculous is being able to buy stuff like this at the price of dirt. It's a really great outlet but they get volume and have to have semi annual sales to help clear for the next season.

I bought it today after a few days of craigslist email weirdnesses. $50 seemed like a deal for a matching 700c MA2/Superbe wheelset. A really nice oddity on an otherwise unfortunate looking build. I'll grab the Superbe fd and Tange headset, too. The frame has a cracked fitting for the rear rack that shouldn't be too hard to fix if someone wants to build this up.

.
A lot of stuff went right in the trash. The cotton tape under the ribbon tape had the strongest smell of oil, sweat, rain, and rot. That's the smell of death, folks!

The 400 is an oddity. I had one that was just a bit too big for me. But it's a '90 or '91 that takes a nutted rear brake, but also has room for 32 or even some 35mm tires. It was a great bike for me.

Rare and early Vic Edwards custom. Attractive R-531, chrome socks. Posted on eBay UK, seller is a bike shop and likely capable of proper packing and shipping. Listed price or best offer.

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Vintage-5...cAAOSwp-ZcfAJy

There's also another Vic Edwards made, Condor label in a very large size. Ornate curly lugs. Double the price of the one mentioned above.
