Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Its 30°A and tires are pumped. Got an appointment to get back for but 20+ miles should be doable. Let’s roll!

I have some new Assioma Duo pedals, that work. The give me cadence, and some weird thing that tells me where my power is as I go round and round. I really don't give two for that either.

As long as you have the same BB, swapping a Sram Red crank is a walk in the park. Swapping pedals is also easy. So is swapping a wheel. I'm lazy, so swapping nothing is easiest.

I run Look cleats, so it does make it even easier.
right on thanks for the input. And i’ll take a look at the link datlus. I think groupset will be a go, plus new cables bar tape and that stem. If I do it right I can get everything for around 500 before shipping. I’ll look at new wheels around christmas time. Checked today I have put 1030 on the Caad since I purchased it.
Power meter will be way later down the road.

It's done with electrical resistance measurements between the hands and feet. The gizmo infers the proportion of lean and fat mass and can parcellate it to the trunk and each extremity. Had mine done recently and the results were interesting. There was a recommendation to put on some fat.

I think that the next time I wrap my bars, I'll try it from top to bottom, which will eliminate a couple of the problem areas with the aero handlebars.

That said, modern groups are wonderful and the shifting, particularly up front, will be a big improvement over what you're used to. If you upgrade but stay 10-speed (Sora), you might be able to keep your wheels... but check with the wrenches here before taking my word on it.
Just for info. there is a video on you tube on how to modify your 10 speed hub to accept an 11 speed cassette. Most have enough length but need a little machining work. I did my Reynolds gen 1 wheels with a file. Worked great.

It was 54° for my commute this morn. A welcome change from the long string of 38-45 degree mornings!

nice.
I have 5 Tele's and like 15 Strats. It's a sickness. All are parts casters except for my original '93 Strat. A couple of kit built. I learned a lot from youtube and by building the kits. Recently I did my first refret with stainless frets. I'm a huge fan. Almost indestructible, a bit tough on the tools though. The mim tobaco burst on the couch.

You guys stop - Big Bike says that you need a new hub (and you might as well get a complete wheelset while you're at it), so just shush with your rabble rousing.
