I say hot if your bike has matching colors. Not digging the dark band. I would rather have a faux toe guard with that color.
With running shoes I always get the brightest, loudest ones available for the brand/model I wear. When purchasing cycling shoes however, it's always black and somewhat dressy. I have to pay homage to the history of the sport, I guess.

If those were made with Fizik, it wouldn't surprise me - I've tried Fizik on in the store and, sized up a bit, they're comfy (but I didn't want to add the toe overlap). From the review, these are pretty narrow, though.

Okay, two bikes. First a classic MTB-commuter conversion I bought in the early 90s for transporting a child on a rear seat, and sold a while back. I first had a white one and the frame broke within weeks. The blue looked better and lasted for years
This one I was waiting to post until I got the groovy wheels, et voilà. It's kind of drab and non-exotic, but it does have a certain utilitarian charm to my eye. Sorry about the seat pouch, the helicopter tape on the head tube and the uncut steerer (I'm old as crap and one injury away from not being able to tie my shoes). As you can see, we also got the retaining wall painted in the meantime.

I see through you - you're just posting the Bianchi to lower the bar for the Cervelo.
Cervelo is hot, even though you're old as crap.
I do wonder why they didn't route the RD and rear brake line the same way, though - there wouldn't be any frame rub and the helicopter tape wouldn't be necessary. Is that to avoid crossing cables internally?

Black on black is not really my thing, but cheapskates can't be choosers. What I do like about the frame and, especially, the wheels, is the relative subtlety of the graphics.

To be fair, I've seen a lot of bikes from that era that had stems like that. It must have been a thing. That blue saddle is on a commuter. If it works, who cares. It might dumb down the look also to help with theft prevention.

Super hot! Colorful and shiny. So much better than black on black. The big stem is hardly noticeable.

Recently finished this rehab. This is a very nice ride, and one of Schwinn's best from 1988. Columbus SP/SL, "aero" seat stays and fork. All stock except for wrap, tires, seat and seat post (still have the original post, but it's not long enough for my long legs), 25"/63cm frame. I also changed the cassette, it was a 13/24 and I took out the 14t cog and added a 28t making it a 13/28. Makes hills much more manageable. Still looking for a nice silver, or hopefully white, pair of SPD/SL pedals for it. The Sante' crank's pedal socket aren't drilled completely thru, so you can't use a pedal that requires an allen wrench from the back side. Let me know your thoughts.
