Bart, Sorry to hear of your problems. Due to two minor surgeries last year just before Eroica, I scaled back to the Piedras Blancas Route too, and still had a great time. Hopefully you will be able to participate somehow. Been there, done that with knee and back issues too. I feel your pain. Take care, and get those wheels turning soon. 40% rain prediction tomorrow for Pasadena, mid 50s temps, so don't know how many will actually ride. All the best!

Thanks Steve, if you do ride, be safe. I wouldn't wish my pain on anybody, I now how I would crack under interrogation!! Hopefully, I'll still be able to get back on a bike soon and regain something before Eroica. Have a good ride tomorrow if you go.

Did anybody ride today? I had the bike all loaded, looked out east, and it was really ugly. Weather maps showed all kinds of weather action around 2 pm over there, when we usually finish, so I stayed local, and did 6 miles before almost getting blown off the road. I did a big ride yesterday (for me ) 40 miles, 2500' climbing, at a 14 + mph avg. Today, my legs were tired, and in the cold wind, never got warmed up enough to feel like riding. I came home, and fell asleep watching Nascar, which was actually pretty good. No rain out there, except a few sprinkles before the start. If any of you hearty guys rode, good for you, sorry I wimped put.

I thought I recognized that street and intersection!! I see that commercial often on CBS All Access while watching Star Trekiscovery and Picard. I chuckle each time I see it because its right on our Velo-Retro Route. Wonder if the other commercial scene in the restaurant is also a local restaurant?

Me personally I would not attend this bike ride. We're still not in the clear against covid19 and the turnout for this ride will exceed the 10 person gathering limit.
Los Angeles County is supposed to ease restrictions next week. My vote is to wait one more month for the June ride.

I sold the little Legnano a couple weeks ago. Fun bike, but a little small for me. I will miss it.

Good to see that the spirit is alive! 4-5 riders would be easy to keep spread out. The big group rides will wait.

I'd love to be there. On the other hand, it's supposed to be sunny & mid-70's here in the Portland area.

Pasadena issued a stay home order for the city limits July 1st. Masks must be worn in public at all times and large gatherings to be avoided when possible. Failure to wear mask can come with a citation and fine.
I won't be attending but still riding Sunday solo near my home.
Stay safe everyone

GREAT day for Vintage riding in Pasadena. Very little auto traffic, a little on the hot temp side but bearable. The Coffee Bean and the Pizza joint were OPEN for business, We sat outside and had a pretty good discussion on Italian bicycles..A Small turnout for todays ride but the we were in excellent company with Me, Salvatore and Philippe.
A 60's Cinelli ,a 80's Moser and a 90's Colnago ,,all we needed was a 70's bike and we would have been covered.
Salvatore took the K.O.T. M. title of the race to the top of Sierra Madre .

A few more close -ups.
B.T.W. The Rose Bowl parking lot was open and there was the usual activity at the Park with Many people outdoors doing their exercising.. All in All, it was a NORMAL DAY. with NO RESTRICTIONS or Citations issued to anyone.

A couple of hard-man freewheels there. One day social distance will be restored to group rides.

Excellent Manny! Love how the bikes were socially distanced at the end too. Who owned the Cinelli?
