I agree and I think the big difference between now and then is the media (news, social media, etc..). They show people in lines at stores and empty shelves which causes panic.

Our son and daughter-in-law installed one last year. Being French linguist and teachers, I suppose it was inevitable. Its pure panic and heard mentality ruling people right now.

There are plenty of leaves and old news papers around, what's the big problem. A guy in my platoon went up to the DI to tell him only one roll of TP was in the head, on our first night, in house. He was told to use one piece, hang it up and let it dry, then shake the flakes out.

, just don't tell SWMBO about that one please. And our master bath had the separate sections for the throne, and the whirlpool and shower. so that one gets kind of rough at times

Yes he does!!!!

Its been a bit since I've cut my own firewood, but when I was younger and ready to smash myself into bits for no reason at all, I hand split 5 cords of wood in 12 hours.

Never mind the TP, how many of you are using this opportunity to stocking up on lugged steel now that the Craigslist flippers are flipping out?

My brother in law works near Atlanta with Toto, big mfg of bidet seats - He's been suggesting I get one of their setups for years. Tempting - when I go to his house it's always amusing to push a button after which the seat lowers itself while it plays a little tune and heats up. Gotta love the Japanese... Still, I have yet to avail myself of it's cleaning functions...

I'm wondering if the low-end flipping market might suddenly turn good for sellers, if travel gets restricted. I'm saturated with low-end-but-decent bikes, most of which I don't particularly want, but I'm hoping to get some parts-bin-builds done so I can sell them to would-be motorists when/if road travel is restricted. Generally cyclists have been left alone when we've had these restrictions in the past.

If a restriction never comes to pass (let's hope it doesn't get that bad), then I'll hold onto them until September and sell them to returning undergrads.

If you've saved those long multi-language Shimano tech sheets...

...then you need only tear them into 4.5" strips. Best use of those sheets that I can envision.

That’s one of my best memories of childhood, my mom’s homemade bread. With real butter, of course. And maybe her homemade apple butter. 😘

It’s funny though, she was a great baker, but not so much of a cook. 🤔 Good thing I had older sisters, who were passable cooks. 🙄😉
