Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Starting smoking was one of the stupidest things I ever did! Quitting, was one of the best and hardest! I quit cold turkey 30+ years ago. Mrs. Pirkaus,at the time, said "If you ever start smoking again, I will buy you cigarettes until you die. I'm not going through that again!" I never took her up on the offer.

Non-essential businesses in Delaware are closed until *May* 15th. Unclear what "non-essential" means - I am guessing that restaurants won't even have take-out. Probably mainly just grocery stores, pharmacies, health related things and I suppose gas stations.

I see that in New Jersey that liquor stores are considered essential.

He said he was taking these steps pro-actively as they don't want to attract tourists from NY/NJ where the restrictions are more severe.

NY state included bicycle repair as an essential business.

Maybe the wheels come off the bus this week but at least we have fresh baked bread.

Can you hook me up with some of that flour???

Not a loaf to be had at Meijers today or thursday. No tp, no chicken again, nor pig. Plenty of beef though no hamburger though.

My lazy mechanic is making some progress. New brake and shifter cables/housing installed. Brakes and shifters adjusted perfectly.

All that’s left is bar tape and a new old hood cover for the rear shifter. Getting the hood cover on is always a struggle, any tips??

I found the actual list. A *lot* of things remain open, but retail sporting goods are not included. There is always Amazon for anything you need not on the list.

There was a truck driver on Bookface today explaining that a lot of the problem with our food/supply shortage has a lot to do with the distribution centers only working 8 hours. Truck drivers can only drive for, I believe its 12 hours a day. He showed many, many trucks parked waiting to be loaded that likely weren't going to get loaded untill the next day. So everything was bottlenecked at the distribution hubs and it just compounds. It was face palm worthy

A neighbor down the street has chickens , and if we walk down the alley, we can see them. It's a perplexing thing to Indy and Georgia-Mae, because they don't act like normal things. It makes for a good walk.

I am very glad I was raised in a non-smoking house. Too many of my relatives haves passed it down three generations before my eyes.

The goal of a vape-er is to make as much smoke as possible.
