Addiction LXXVII

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

It's on the list to one day track them down at the regional airports and see if they take passengers.
In this vein, something I want to get off my chest before the day ends: I'd really like to sail the high seas. Something about sitting there with only a couple inches of plastic between you and several hundred feet of turbulent, shark-infested salt water seems really relaxing.

The sailing equivalent of a straight-gauge, gas pipe frame. How about a cm or two of glass or less of crabon around a foam core? That’s relaxation!

This is definitely designed to be an aggressive hardtail. Slack head tube angle, steep-ish seat tube angle, and short chainstays aren't great for XC stuff but it's definitely at home on more agressive stuff.

Unfortunately, with me riding it, it's never going to live up to it's full potential

Still jonesing for something more modern and quick though...

Too bad that making a big purchase right now is "financially irresponsible" because we're doing something silly like "saving up to buy a house"
