Retro Stuff

Back in 1996 this was the shock. Going through all the parts I have stored over the years. Too many bikes but no resale value so I just keep it in inventory. Many a crash with this shock I put on my Gary Fisher MTB. Gravel is much safer I donít need another orthopedic operation.
Share a pic or two of some old bike stuff if you are bored stuck at home or just bored in general.

I don't have a pic of old bikes, but gas is crazy cheap and I'm grounded, so I think I'm living in a time warp somehow and that shock is new. I need to pick up the new R.E.M. CD.

My truck is full of gas I filled at 1.85 I bet it’s a lot cheaper now. No matter like you said I’m not going anywhere soon. They are saying Texas will get the worse late April early May but who really knows?

It just went below $3 in Seattle. I'm hearing it's $1.50 in Cle Elum. There's never been much demand there, if you want to go further than your mailbox, that's what horses are for.

Somewhere I have an old bike wrench my grandfather had when he was younger than I am but I doubt I could find it now.

This is kind of bike related since I took the picture from my bike. Today’s ride I pass this old restored hotel that once serve the stage coaches coming through this area in the 1840s and so on in that era. Some history just a few miles from my beer fridge. How about retro pictures of anything since this is FOO?

I believe this is the most retro thing in my house. Originally owned by my mother's maternal grandfather. "Baught" in Waco and taken back home to Vernal, Texas Oct. the 7th, 1898. Vernal, Texas no longer exists. Vernal - Texas Ghost Town

I wonder when Jaclyn Jenner will find out she or he is still really Bruce? Bruce was cool when he was on the Wheaties box back in the 70s.

Holy crap, does that just change at random? I need to be checking this regularly? Like if I'm at the grocery store do I need to see if I need any "not so fresh" products? And can I trust my own eyes or do I need to go to Customer Service and ask for help?

I got Bear a cheap hair brush. Took it out of the box, held it up for him to see. His eyes got big with excitement, he ran to me, and started immediately rubbing his face on it.

I didn't know if he was even smart enough to recognize a brush.

These are the moments that make fur parenthood worth it.

I got called into the office today to do some cleaning. Which meant me having to drive the little old forklift we have. Has a placard on it stating is was converted to LP gas in 1991. Still works well and saves my back.

Urban version of a tractor, I suppose.

Another piece of history we have here. Back when Bell & Howell was really Bell & Howell.

Before we carried laptops with pdf files of service and parts manuals, we usually carried printed paper manuals. However, some machine manufacturers provided us with microfiche versions of their manuals. Below is a laptop sized portable microfiche projector. You'd put in two microfiche sheets under the sliding glass, turn on the lamp that was under the glass and the image would go through the projection head, and onto the silver metal screen.

Of course, that projector was considered expensive and stayed at the office. In the field, we'd only carry the little magnifier seen on the far left of each photo to read part numbers, etc. The dates on the microfiche are from the early 1980s to the early 1990s.

I'm a bit of a packrat, found some old video cards from the 90's. Forums wouldn't let me show the pics, seems to think they're urls. ???

Gotta hit 10 posts to show photos. Unfortunately anything in the Foo forum doesn't go towards post count.

Of course, I carry over.
