It's warmed up to a balmy 56F . Time to pack my sweatshirt and go spend a contemplative afternoon mowing the lawn.
The place will be closed for at least three more weeks. Almost no one sees Velo Vol's handiwork except the 1/3 of the lawn along the road. So it goes.

Big storm heading this way. I am askeered there will be a power failure at our corporate office, which happens sometimes, and takes our Electronic Medical Records system down. I hope it hold off until today's telemedicine visits are done. It may be close.

Just watched both my rides to work say F this and fly back to where they came from. Windy as hell in Norfolk right now.

The thing I don't get is, if you have a half-mill just lying around, can't you just use that to make sure your offspring have a legit shot at a good life? Legally, I mean, like a trust fund or excellent tutoring and training or... almost literally whatever.

With the homefries cooking and the sun shining, I decided to make breakfast for lunch and eat outside with the kids. Perfect.

What kind of chainring mileage do y'all get? I feel like my teeth are getting a little thin and I'm occasionally experiencing a skip, but I only (?) have 10-12k on the ring. Is that unusual?

Must be all the watts. I’ve never (knowingly) gotten close to wearing out a chainring, and while I don’t have a mileage count, but trainer hours have to be harder. I seem to recall hearing several times that being the common lifespan though.

I make pseudo fries for my kids with thin sliced mini potatoes, avocado oil, garlic and rosemary baked at 475 for about 25 minutes. I don’t usually eat them, but they’re pretty good and the prep time is minimal

Every couple of years, providing I remember. It's usually near there, and mainly the large ring. That's the one that gets the most abuse, what with 53-11 seated starts and crap like that.
