Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Just spray them with straight bleach. Maybe put a warning sign up at the door: If you are not wearing a mask then you will be disinfected with strong chemicals. Repeat offenders will be shot.

We don't have that problem here. No masks required or even currently recommended. In fact our restrictions are easing. From tomorrow bars can open, with restrictions. of course being a small island nation with only one level of government helped tremendously.

Our local hospitals are going to resume "elective" procedures. Joint replacement - that sort of thing. I *believe* that chemotherapy was considered "elective" as well. People who need that must have been sweating bullets. New cases and hospital admissions are down, so this all seems good.

Theoretically people coming from out of state are still expected to self-quarantine for 14-days. I say theoretically because I see cars with out-of-state plates all over the place. Hotels are still closed, and short term rentals are banned. Yet Ocean City MD has lifted all of those restrictions. so it seems untenable to continue those restrictions for much longer. Restaurants dining rooms are still closed. No word on when those restrictions might be lifted.

That sounds like a long time to be immobilized.

On the espresso front, it appears that my cheapo grinder can't grind fine enough to do the job. New grinder should be here today. My wife, a non-coffee drinker, is starting to look askance at me. Is that a bad thing?

Cycling content: Going for a ride shortly if it ever clears up.

Lawn(s) content: I HAD to mow two days ago after several days of rain. I set the mower as high as it would go and with the grass still a little damp and lush, it came out embarrassing. I had to mow again yesterday to barely make things look presentable. Rain, off and on, till next week.

Meh, that's routine spousal interaction.

Exactly. That’s why I had to do an emergency cut two days ago between showers and a repair cut yesterday. Probably have to mow again tomorrow or Friday.

Either you people have much different grass or wimpy lawn mowers because I never "need" to mow more than once a week.
