Bought a new bike, then surprise - knee surgery!
I've had a torn meniscus for a year or so that I've been rehabbing. Surgery had been delayed due to corona, so I bought a new bike that isn't even delivered yet, and have been crushing it on the trainer lately. Then out of the blue the doc calls and asks, "what are you doing next Tuesday?" Looks like that new bike is gonna be a wall ornament for few weeks

Be patient, listen to the doc and PT's, and before you know it you'll be back in the game.

I got an Emonda SL 5! Haven't been able to ride it yet, but it looks lovely on my trainer.
Cheers. Surgery is done, they ended up doing a repair so it'll be a bit before I can pedal again. Two weeks before I can walk and I'm limited to 180-90 degrees in knee flexion. I'm already itching to get back in the saddle but I'm staying patient so I can heal fully and get back to 100%!
Hi Ohl! Good luck with the upcoming arthroscopic surgery. I had that done in late October of last year. Had 4 or 5 weeks of physical therapy, including exercises done at home. They almost immediately started me on a exercise bike, gradually building up to 20-25 minutes. Finally, on December 8th I was given the OK to ride outdoors. Even though I started off doing a slow 5 or so miles, it was like heaven!
Be patient, listen to the doc and PT's, and before you know it you'll be back in the game.

Ask your surgeon to give you a bicycle trainer for when you're in the hospital bed.
