Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

We were pretty firmly opposed to using Roundup. I tried an organic weed killer, and it sort of worked on some of the weeds.

But we have bermudagrass all over the place, and that stuff is virtually impossible to kill without a nearby volcanic eruption. It kind of blends in with regular grass, but it really stood out over the stones.

Trsnrtr the best part of waking up(other than being alive), is throwing the beans into a burr grinder while the water is heating up.

I love espresso, but a French press is my preference.

I decided that I needed more food. I really wanted a burrito bowl from Chipotle, but they were going to be closed before I could get there, so I picked up some "Mexican" "food" from Taco Hell.

I wore jeans and a t-shirt for my commute to the bike shop. No heater required.

Sometimes I wish that sensation would go away, but there's also a lot of great memories tied to that smell I never want to lose.

What did you get?

Working at Taco Bell was so much fun, especially because we were able to make anything we wanted for our meals. We came up with some amazing stuff.

Two burritos. One rice, refried beans and cheese, the other was shredded chicken, rice, cheese and black beans.

Yeah, it was the first. I could tell that it wasn't the best idea within the first third, so I altered the route to stay a little flatter. Still hurt, though I'd occasionally find legs for short pushes.

Started out under clouds and wasn't sure if the sun would come out. It did, though, and was beautiful riding weather. Sharpened up my bib tan lines nicely.
