Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Oh definitely. It's a great excuse to have a few different bikes, as well. I'm not always in the mood to ride one particular bike, but I'm usually in the mood to ride one of them

We've been keeping the cats locked out for the last week but finally left the door open last night. We've found that if we limit access to the room throughout the week it seems to disable the alarm feature, but if they have unfettered access for a few days it gets reset to around 5AM.

We have had lots of hassles in the past with water lines to the fridge and ice-maker snafus, so much so that for our current new fridge (bought maybe 4 years ago) we purposefully did not get one with an ice-maker or water dispenser.

So mrs bam has been showing interest in cycling since I have started. But every bike I pick out she’s not interested in. Plus, I think If I did buy her her very own road bike after about a month or two it would just start collecting dust.
This popped up today, and I could totally see her riding this with me. Now if I can only convince her.

I like Blanton's, but we'll be sipping some Oil Fire rye whiskey on Saturday.

I've been trying to get ahold of some Blanton's but no one in my vicinity has it. I'm on a couple of watch lists but so far no good.

Eventually. For now Woodford Reserve or Unc Nearest '56 top my list.

Are you showing her road bikes mostly?

My wife really did not like her bike before I binned the drop bars and made it very upright, position-wise.

+1

Yeah, my wife is just not going to get in to road cycling - Dutch-style all the way. If I had the budget, I'd get her a Dutchie with assist.
