Sounds like you need a rain bike
Oh definitely. It's a great excuse to have a few different bikes, as well. I'm not always in the mood to ride one particular bike, but I'm usually in the mood to ride one of them
I'm off work, the weather is nice, and right outside my door up the hill are 4 HC climbs and numerous Cat 1 and Cat 2 climbs, with virtually no traffic at all.
Yet, I can't find much motivation to ride, unfortunately. I might get in an hour today. I honestly think the motivation to ride is the #1 most important thing to have, because once you have that, you'll find a way to overcome all the various excuses, and find the time to get out there and ride.

Alarm cat got into our room at 4:30AM. We usually close the door tight so she can't do that, but that hard lemonade must have gone to my wife's head, as she did not close door tight enough to click it, and of course Jackie came in and wanted some love from me. It was a bit early but I can't be angry with such a lovely creature.
Good kitty

So mrs bam has been showing interest in cycling since I have started. But every bike I pick out she’s not interested in. Plus, I think If I did buy her her very own road bike after about a month or two it would just start collecting dust.
This popped up today, and I could totally see her riding this with me. Now if I can only convince her.

That is a cracked chainstay. After 5 months post-wreck, my luck ran out. Started making a creaking noise last Friday and I thought it was the bottom bracket. Nope.
Going to try the Cannondale crash replacement program through my retailer.
That's all I've got to say about that.

Sorry to see, and I hope it works out for you.

Eventually. For now Woodford Reserve or Unc Nearest '56 top my list.

My wife really did not like her bike before I binned the drop bars and made it very upright, position-wise.

Yeah, my wife is just not going to get in to road cycling - Dutch-style all the way. If I had the budget, I'd get her a Dutchie with assist.

I try barking up the tandem tree every once in a while but get shot down every time.
I figure we do well in a canoe together so a tandem shouldn't be too far removed.
Maybe she just doesn't trust me as a captain
