Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Too bad. I just sold my R3 clone (Workswell R-066) for $900. Nobody wanted it at a higher price. It came in at 12.5 lb sans pedals. 11-speed Red mechanical, Zero Gravity Ti brake calipers, 999 g pair of tubie wheels. What a neat bike!

We were going to New Orleans last weekend to check on my MIL (98 yrs old this week) and bring her back to Houston for her birthday. My SIL said better go early, so we backed up a couple of days and got out by Saturday morning. Dry all the way home and nothing to speak of here in Houston. Glad it wasn't too bad there.

What do you do when you miss that seat. Try again tomorrow? Do you have the option of buying a seat?

It's definitely easier for me to swipe my card than lose 10lbs, long-term. Not cheaper, but easier? Oh yes.

Nope, just some rain...just enough to remind me that my Jeep needs a tire rotation.

Good to "see" you again, sir.

Traffic is definitely back in NJ. Probably 3x-4x the volume as last Wedjesday.

I did some research last night. FYI It takes a
repaired hand tendon 12-14 weeks to heal back to normal usage. I didn't find details on the length of the therapy. And it takes a surgically repaired finger 6 months for the scars to soften to the point that the finger no longer feels like plastic. Wow.

Same in Merida. And, even though things were open, the lines to get into them were extremely long. You had to really want to get into that building. At Home Depot there were thirty people in a line which was not noticably moving

Ditto. The lightest bike I've ridden was my first one, a Jamis Ventura Comp that came in right around 19-20lbs with some ~1500g alloy wheels. Light enough for me, especially in flat Illinois. Current "light" bike is my SLT which I believe sits at around 23lbs ready to ride.

But yeah, like datlas said the best thing I could do is probably lose 30lbs. But at what cost?
