Is a 2006 considered a classic? picture link included.
I've pestered you guys several times asking newby questions I know. I got into cycling late, at 50. In 2 years I've gone from not being able to make it all the way up the 1/2 mile of my driveway, to riding 60-100 miles a week. I was 360 lbs on that first ride and no wonder I couldn't ride out of sight before walking. I now weigh a very fit 170 lbs. I've bought several bikes since then. I own 5 that I ride and 9 all together for the whole family. Saying all that to illustrate what a huge part of my life cycling has become. I know you folks can understand that more than most.
Enough of my history. I have finally found my new road bike. An older classic has been all I could afford, but that's OK since I'm somewhat of a classic myself. I'm leaving out in a bit to buy this bike. I hope it qualifies as a classic and is up to the high standards and beauty of some of the beautiful bikes I see posted here. Black carbon just doesn't do it for me. Anyway, here she is, hopefully my new ride.

Description
I am selling my super cool Lemond Croix de Fer. This is a very modified 2006 model. I replaced most everything from stock. It features Bontrager Carbon x-blade 44mm handlebars, Race X-Lite Stem, Chris King headset, Shimano 10spd Dura Ace downtube shifters, Dura-Ace brakes, 105 Derailleurs and Bontrager Carbon cranks. The wheels are Race X-Lite paired spoke with DT Swiss internal star ratchets. The bike is in fantastic shape and rides like a dream due to the True Temper OX Platinum tubing. It is a 58cm frame.

Appreciate the picture assist.
I know some parts are not classic and it's a bit of a mix of old and new ,but she is beautiful to me and I hope to make her mine. This was however, bike sold by Trek, if I'm not mistaken.

It's right up my alley.
2x10 DA downtube is the lightest way to go modern and classic at the same time.
It would be a classic RobbieTunes build, if there was such a thing.
I happen to have an Ironman built with the same wheels and a similar drivetrain.
The simplicity and flexibility of the drivetrain is a step, or wheel, ahead.

I just got back "WITH THE BIKE" guys! It was love at first sight and it rides so smooth. I haven't put it on a scale yet but the owner says it weighs 18 lbs. He worked as a bike mechanic for 10 years and it is in top shape. It was a 12 hour round trip but worth it to me. I spent all day but only about $50 in gas and $550 for the bike. I am ecstatic! I'll post up some nice pictures tomorrow when I can get in the sunlight. It doesn't have a single blemish or rub mark on it anywhere except a small paint flake off the crank. The way the British Green shows metal flake in the sunlight is simply stunning! The biking gods have shined on me!
I really appreciate all the kind words and encouragement. I am going to do my first century on her soon. You guys are awesome and have helped my cycling learning curve quite a bit. I look forward to learning a lot more from you and getting to know all of you a lot better. Talk to ya'll guys later.

From a marketing perspective, this gives us an indication as to the lengths that people will go to have their itch scratched. I preach this all the time to people trying to sell something. Offer a quality product at a fair price, and be of quality in your customer service, and they will come.
