Theoretically this could be solved by sliding the seat forward. Doesn't take much more than an inch of sliding the seat forward to change the weight distribution which will keep the front end down.

no. for one thing, that could throw off an otherwise good balance and power you have achieved with the original saddle position. second, it does nothing for the standing pedaling position on the bike.

You can do a lot of monkeying around for road use by adjusting saddle/stem length but cramping the cockpit artificially throws off the balance for mtbing. Especially without a dropper that allows you to move your cog back when needed.
