Smokinapancake’s thread on finding his grail bike made me get my butt in gear.
Not wanting to hijack his tread any more than I already had, I’m posting first-ride photos here.

Love the ride.
Lateral stiffness with classic compliance and bump absorption that Ti is known to provide.
Forks work as well today as when we raced with RS and later the Mag 20 and 21 so a known quantity.
Climbs very well on loose rock and Is stable on rock and root-strewn descents.
It helps that I set up every one of my vintage bikes with the same BB-seatheight and center of saddle-center of bars before I get them out on the trails.

I have a Titus Ti stem but I think I like the black ControlTech stem and I may switch seatpost to a black ControlTech although the Easton label colors match that of the Fish.

Now I am on the hunt for a steel Toxic Tuna.

Thanks Smokinapancake for the nudge to get this done.

mmmmm, I love me some Ti.

I keep seeing everyone finding their grails' in the past year. I can't wait to unload my winter scores (Klein/Pinarello), so that I'll have the cash on hand to try to find mine. Then I can call on the awesome power of BF C&V to help me locate another Airborne.
