Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

HAHAHAHA!
No.

"If you have to ask, you can’t afford it. We asked anyway, and a Jaguar official told us the company doesn’t disclose pricing “as this is dependent on specification and confidential between Jaguar Classic and its clients.” The company official also told us that previous Jaguar Classic continuation cars have typically cost between $1.3 and $2.7 million."

So, you can buy a C-type, or a mansion in most of America, or a tumble-down shack in Palo Alto.

EDIT: This is what I get for sleeping in, AND living on Pacific time - I get to be THE LAST to respond. Let me just say that I think the C-type has it all over the E-type, which is as sexy a car as ever existed.

Jaguar C-Type for Sale - Hemmings Motor News
Reading the description, I don't think that one is a Jaguar product, but rather something made by a company that makes replicas, maybe like Caterham and the old Lotus 7?

To each their own, but in the event that you are visually challenged, that seems like a place to avoid.

You could try thinking "Things can only get better from here!", but I generally find when I think that, I've underestimated the depth of the absolute bottom.

slight correction. Caterham don't make replica Lotus 7s. they brought the rights off Lotus when Lotus moved to the plastic fantastic cars and needed more money. Technically they build original sevens. Fun fact. In the 1970s a local truck trailer manufacturing company brought a licence to make the Lotus 7 MkIV and put the Lotus badge on them. They made them for four or five years. As a result you can buy a NZ made genuine Lotus 7. Or one of several locally made modern replicas.

Good point.

I saw what was probably a Caterham 7 the other day on my ride. Holy crap, those things are LOW!! I swear, the entire thing was lower than my saddle, including the driver's head! I fantasize about owning one, but I'd be afraid to drive it among all the SUVs on the roads here! Sweet little cars, though.

Where would Velo Vol sit if I had the awesome shovel up front with me?
I guess that's why the awesome shovel easily disassembles and fits in a small area.
Crisis averted!

Good ride. Glad we delayed start for ice risk. Even so, there were a few ice patches but we were very careful so no mishaps.

Looking forward to tomorrow morning. I don’t know why, but I like waking up, looking out the window and seeing it snowing.

Got my shopping done this morning when it was sunny. High, thin clouds have moved in, and the wind has picked up.
