Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Yeah I had a fun ride. Those people are super friendly and always watch out for each other on their rides. Unlike my other club where the A rides turned into a race.
Turns out the guys who invited me on the 100+ ride had to turn back early because one had a tendon problem.

I still have all those tools and I think some boxes of cups, bearings and axles. I don't miss any of that stuff.

Nope, I'm traveling 1330 miles (each way) to take a skills test for a job. Just happen to be passing through lovely Ely.

Of course we went all the way up to and across Wyoming to follow a steam train not too long ago.

Hmm, I could drive 1858 miles back and drive the entirety of US93. It would be tempting if the chance for treacherous driving conditions were not so great.

My train observations are mostly limited to incidental sightings in West Knox County. Yesterday I spotted a CSX during my slow jog on the MUP. Man, that thing was loud and squeaky.

Do interstates count? I've been the entire length of 140, 275, 640.

Only 2-digit Interstates count.

Otherwise, I've done a 205, three 405s, a 605, an 805, etc...

I-81 from Metro Dandridge TN to Canada.

I've been on I-40 from the eastern terminus to Albuquerque, NM. Not on the same trip, though.

Three digit highways count too, as shown in this nifty animation.
