Addiction 2021.1

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Yeah I had my fun in a band when I was in college. Knowing the time commitment there's no way I'd consider one now, and I don't even have a busy schedule compared to you

For me, I'll always have at least one guitar and one bass - my dad gave me his Gibson bass when I graduated high school, and my Telecaster was a present for graduating college and there's no way I'm getting rid of either of those.

So if I'm always going to have an electric guitar and a bass, I might as well have some sort of rig...and two guitars isn't that much more of a commitment than one...and three isn't much more than two....and....

I cannot say what happened. Maybe you didn't tighten it properly and your excess mass pushed it downward. At any rate, if you put a ruler up to the monitor you'll clearly see it's nose down.

Culvert pic doesn't work for saddle level considerations.

If you think it does, you should also alert him that his front wheel is considerably smaller than his rear wheel.

Good eye.

It's a newer version of this, basically.

Philly. Only on the 8th floor. But the view is nicer that it was when I have been higher up.

This summer that courtyard and surrounding sidewalks will again be crawling with lantern flies. Building management encourages people to stomp them, but there are so few people in office these days. The worst is when I ;eave work and find some on my bike and my helmet, which I thread through my cable.

that’s right.

Never knew those were a problem. We used to stay at the holiday inn stadium in philly, it has been torn down to become a parking lot. Now we stay at this clarion in a not so pretty area. I only ever saw stink bugs. Seems like where ever I go now a days stink bugs are always in my room.

Recently replaced my chain with a SRAM chain. Old chain was worn and the bike shop only had SRAM in a price I wanted to pay. Didn’t have any issues the first couple of rides but today everything felt off. Shifting was off, it didn’t want to down shift on certain cogs. And when I would upshift it the chain would slam down onto the cog.
The other thing was a weird noise on certain cogs while I was pedaling. When I was on the bike it sounded like my pulleys were louder than usual but it also sounded like it would be coming from the cranks. Checked nothing was lose.

Just got done servicing the bike. Re lubed the chain and adjusted the indexing. I got it to down shift fine now, chain still slams on some cogs when Up shifting.

But it also sounds different when on certain cogs almost like a brake disc is rubbing but the noise is coming from the chain.

If this doesn’t make any sense. I apologize.
Unscrew the rear derailleur barrel adjuster one or two clicks and try it. (put more tension on the cable)

I feel fortunate in that my available rack and wall spaces are full. If I had some more room it would be a bit more tempting, but I feel like I've got a good variety of instruments so I don't really want any more.

I'd probably make room if a SG came around, or maybe a multiscale of some sort

You can find the room! I'm using my "office", our bedroom, and my daughter's room. There's always more room. (hmmm, I don't have an SG)
