We're guessing it might have something to do with the state of things in Houston. It has never been an issue in the past.

Second tubular and rim are glued. There is a service technician due within the hour so I'll wait. Then I can get out there and make up for all the calories I've wasted over the years.
As an aside, the front wheel I just built is the easiest one I've ever done. Extremely little truing necessary.
As another aside, the hubs, Campy Record, were gifted to me by our own @trainsnorter. Let's hear it for Trainsnorter!
This wheelset will get the corncob and will hopefully get mounted on the Trek 930.

Currently ftp is estimated @ 276 . I hate doing the test, I lose focus about .5 way through. Start playing games with the power numbers. Screw everything up.45 minutes in its not worth finishing cuz I jacked it up.
I might try a 20 minute version in a couple weeks, I might be able to complete that one

I passed the test I took last week, whew. Now I have to do a group video interview, then if that goes well there should be a job offer. Trying to get this job sure is a lot of work, but it would be about a 75% pay increase, and much better benefits so I'm rolling the dice.
At least Nike paid us and fed us when going through their 8-hour interview process

I worked on the house last night. So tonight is supposed to be riding with the goon squad.
last week things got so frustrating I ended my participation in the meet up while I was with the group. After several attempts to complete a pass were thwarted by inexplicable resistance on a 0% incline. It was like I was pulling a Buick with 4 flat tires. I then proceeded to go off the front and finished the hour 4 minutes ahead of the group. It served to solidify my impression that something is no bueno.
I don't care about a minor disadvantage, I can deal with that. It just makes me train harder. But when it is blatant, and insurmountable, I start looking for ways to repay the kindness.

can you interpret a nuclear stress test summary? If you can, and are willing I can PM you. I think I'm ok but I have some concerns. TIA(thanks in advance not trans ischemic attack or whatever the medical TIA is)
my cardiologist follow up isn't until 3/17

I-84 over the Blue Mountains in Oregon had closures both days I wanted to travel on it, so I spent some quality time on US 95 in ID.
We plan on heading north before this summer hits whether this job happens or not, so I gotta get the van ready for that. I drove a new Jetta rental car up there for the test.

Eh, it's just that the idea of it doesn't appeal to me. Ride simulation isn't something that interests me, so I see ERG mode to be the most compelling aspect of smart trainers... but that just seems wrong to me, too. Without shifting, I expect my power to go up and down respectively, with the increase or decrease of my cadence, but ERG mode ain't having that.

My wife and I are going out with our old guys group. I'm sure it will be excruciating because my wife and I are the only ones who spent our Winter doing indoor. The rest of the old guys did not. I hope our average speed breaks 11 mph.

I signed up for Training Peaks free version, and now every time I finish a ride it sends me a new Threshold Notification, which is always way low. So I ignore them.
