Ahhhhhh!!!! Took the Ritchey out for a spin today, and fell in love with it yet again. Every time I ride one of my bikes for the first time in a while*, I think, "Oh, yeah! THAT'S why I have this one!" Plus with the Ritchey, I think, "If I'd stopped with this one, that would have been okay." But I'm glad I didn't.
In the hills West of Stanford, I saw this season's first poppies.....
And there were daffodils in other places where it wasn't convenient to stop. And fields of mustard in bloom. It was about 61 degrees or so, and not a cloud to be seen.
*To be completely accurate, this isn't the first time in a while that I've ridden the Ritchey, since it's been my trainer bike for a couple months now. But not on the road for a while. Road is COMPLETELY different!

Today is a rare occasion. I am happy to be back @ work.
Rough weekend, finished sanding and painting the hallway and master bathroom. My back is not happy with me and keeps reminding me why I don't do construction work any more. I still need to repaint the cabinets in the bathroom. But I need to rebuild the corners a couple of puppy's decided to gnaw on first..
And before I forget....I hate wet plaster!! There I said it,, not taking it back.
Next is the basement. God help me..... Then I get to put all my stuff in storage.... realators......
Rough weekend, finished sanding and painting the hallway and master bathroom. My back is not happy with me and keeps reminding me why I don't do construction work any more. Within the last year or so, I picked up a random orbital sander and some of the mesh-type sanding discs (Mirka Abranet and Diablo SandNet) - they get really good airflow through those discs and, paired with a shop vac, the dust is dramatically reduced.

Up until 10 years ago my hair was curly. Then it changed, it's still has curl but not like it used to. When I Was in high school I could pick it into an afro, no problem. Now when I wake up in the morning I look like Einstein with brown hair.

I remember finishing all of the undone projects before selling our last house. We weren't living there anymore. When Mrs. rjones28 toured the sale-ready house, she said that she wanted to move back.

When I sanded the repairs in the hallway , I had to answer the door. ( package delivery) I left white foot prints on the hardwood floors. So the floors hot a free unscheduled washing.
mid job. This house is all wet plaster but you can tell it was the lowest bidder.

On the drywall thing. Most of what makes drywall sanding suckn is how the compound was applied. On a good hang, sanding is minimal really. Repair work on the other hand can get out if control easily.
