Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

They had a high of 30° today in Providence. I reckon there's a whole lot of this happening in RI still.

possibly the wind going past the helmet straps aggravates the ears/brain over time. old and fruits of a misspent youth? someone with some proper medical knowledge may be able to give you a betterer answer.

My friend/best man bought a 50th anniversary Paramount with the white Sante group in 1988. I don't remember how much he paid for it but I chastised him for spending that much and he (rightly) told me to piss off. It's all red and still looks great. His son inherited his bikes when he passed in 2009.

Pit Crew, Nitro, Air Chisels and an 1100 watt stereo in a Ranger. I'm lucky I can still hear at all.

I wonder how much wattage the speakers in my quasi-classic Honda Accord puts out?

Well, the speakers accept watts, and I would think it would be about 16 apiece.

You should slide that sunroof open and play this on eleven. The ladies go crazy for that Hammond.

Rest assured, all their releases are available on vinyl.

Yeah, a bunch of people on Twitter freaked out over pictures of people on the beach in Florida. And then when the end to the world didn't happen there--in terms of outcomes it remains better off than many restrictive states--it causes people to toss out the expert advice altogether.

Whenever I wake up feeling inadequate, there's always the morning's crop of spam from the scam journals to stoke my self esteem. I can think of a few "cheerful comebacks" for "Sarah."

Respected Doctor,

I had a glance at your profile online and was extremely amazed with your work. I feel you will be an ideal person who helps us for the progress of our Journal. Hence, I am approaching you through this email.

All the authors around the globe are cordially invited to submit any type of the article based upon your research interest for the upcoming edition.

I hope you will consider my request and I wish to have your speedy response in 24 hrs.

Await your cheerful comeback.

In my truck they're not just for rolling down the windows. Their primary function is to rattle annoyingly, apparently.

Nope. But one of them apparently doesn't go completely up to the top and makes a whistling noise at interstate speeds.
