Two Zeus brake questions
All, I'm sadly beginning to prep a lovely bike for sale. I'd like it to be ready to go. It has Zeus brakes circa 1974. I need hoods and cable binder bolts. Any help on where to acquire repop hoods and compatible bolts?

Re: the cable anchor bolts. I suspect you could use a short, pan-head Allen bolt and acorn nut to serve as the cable anchor.

In a pinch you could wrap the cable anti-clockwise around such a screw and tighten the nut & washer on it, but that's a 5 miles from home on Sunday evening and it's starting to rain expedient.

You're right. It had been a while since I'd taken them apart. It's possible that a drilled anchor bolt from some other brake might work. I just tried one from a Dia-Compe side pull, and it almost fit. A little judicious filing could make it work.

Yes, cross drilled, thanks. I could drill the holes here at work, might be my best solution. Not gonna wrap the cable though, I'm selling it and want it done as right as I can. Thx.
