The company must have made a good chunk of money when they were popular and before the Chinese copied it.

This pic is making me feel quite old.... The actresses on the pic look soooo young then. Now they are "grandma" aged already....

I wonder if she still has that bike. That will be a very nice addition to one's collection if it was ever sold to the public.
The Madonna/De Rosa combination just rings really good sounding bells.... That Grand Wagoneer would also be a very cool bike transport and sag wagon.....despite its poor gas mileage.

Paul Sadoff used to do some prototyping for Kestrel. They gave him one of their frames. He applied woodgrain contact paper panels to those expanses of white carbon fiber and named the bike the "Porter Wagoneer." (Sorry, I couldn't find a photo of Porter Wagoner with a bicycle.)

wonder if he ever put the stuff on a Rock Lobster...
probably would have gotten one of the animal rights groups after him such as the Society For The Prevention Of Cruelty To Crustaceans
...those folk can get crabby...

Google Lens tells me that's Bruce Dickinson and the Boss. Is the astronaut another Bruce? If it were the last man on the moon, Gene Cernan, I could contribute lyrics from another song and dance man (now floating around in the universe), David Berman:
People send people up to the moon
When they return, well, there isn't much
People be careful not to crest too soon

When they return, well, there isn't much

the third I suspect might be a fake, because I saw a golf club in the moon luggage exhibition, but no bike. If they had brought one it would obviously have been a 650b converted one.
