Do they have the original train station logo? Youngsters here probably don't remember they weren't always a bike company or that they tried to make motorcycles at one time.

I think they pissed away most of their money trying to develop a motorcycle and creating their own engine. Probably could have saved millions by using an existing engine, since they were going to fail regardless.

It’s another rainy day so I did an hour of fake miles in the basement. Luckily my club’s ride coordinator posts group club rides on Zwift so I had some company. He also adds a companion Zoom meeting which works out well.
On a sadder note, one of my cycling friends who rode with us yesterday went directly from the ride to his girlfriend’s house in Philadelphia and left his bike in the car….and it got STOLEN! This is a custom Seven with CF/Ti frame and Dura-Ace Di2, so a really nice bike.
He has a tracker on the bike and knows the location, working with the Philadelphia police to try to get it back. I hope he gets it and that it’s intact.
Bike theft sucks.

We really need to apply ye olde penalty for horse theft to today's bike thefts.

I'd be interested to hear if/how the police follow up on it.

I will check back with him tonight. I know the cops are busy focusing on violent crime, but my friend is making their job easy by giving them the location, so I am hopeful for a good result.
Stay tuned.
BTW, the first “really good” bike I had was a Panasonic Team America from 1986, it was beautiful and had a full Dura Ace 7400 groupset. I only had it for a few months before it was stolen. This is when I lived in Baltimore, someone broke into the house and stole it. It’s “just” a bike and no one got hurt, but I was quite upset. I filed a police report but clearly the Baltimore police dept was not going to dedicate any effort to recover a stolen road bike.

Yes. They made great stuff. I have a few other pieces. A handlebar bag that needs a steel frame. Another ancient bag, the Bugger. Maybe one or two others. Rhode Gear also made great stuff, but never got into making bicycles, as you well know. My first helmet was a Rhode Gear.
Oh. I have a Cannondale tubular tire bag. I need to get that rear wheel built up so I can use it.
