Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Well since we can’t discuss guns on these forums that pretty much hobbles most of the reply’s.

Bike theft update: my friend says his tracker notified him that the bike has moved 2 houses up on the same street as the weekend, and the detective assigned to his case is in court so there is nothing he can do at the moment.

Of course. That's how it works. The thief gets a new bike, the victim goes to jail.

I don't know about you, but I would simply go to the Trek store and buy a new one.

Something about you can't solve a crime by committing a crime.

I had a bike stolen when I was a ute. A few days later someone came and sold it back for like $10. Not sure if it was the person who took it or not.

I have two safes full of very capable devices. I would not open one of those to confront a bike thief in my garage, much less do so to go somewhere else to retrieve a bike.

I weigh more than BAM, but less than Billy D.
