Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Get it painted?
I have long wanted a Freddy Murtz bike. If I was any kind of painter I would already have one.

She's going down.

Then there will be a Dateline story about her.

Wife and I had back to back chiropractor appointments this morning. Felt great. I’ll be going on the twice annually plan henceforth.

Has aged gracefully, but is still a 15 year old car that needs some attention. Driver seat cushion is collapsed a bit on the left side, needs tires on all 4 corners, and there’s a rattle that is coming from somewhere in the rear door. Could definitely use a shampooing inside but the interior is in great shape overall.

But it runs and drives great, and we’re very happy.

Is that your lowered Ford in the garage or is this the seller's house?

Took the Seven apart and got the crunchy bearing off with 2 screwdrivers. Had a snap ring, unlike the non drive side so I thought maybe that's why it came off easily. Then I tried to remove the bearing from the old crankset, which is where I got the one for the other side last year. Couldn't get it to budge so I put it in the freezer while we went shopping.

Came home and got the bearing to come off by prying on it with 2 legs from a slide hammer that I had for car axle bearings. Unfortunately that bearing is a little rough, too. Packed it with grease and slapped it back together so I can ride it until I get some new bearings.

We have harriers who hang out at the baylands, sharing the space with walkers and joggers.

There's a raised levee with a path on top, where the wind blows off the water towards the levee and produces a steady up draft. The harriers hang in the air several feet above the levee, watching for edible critters. They don't seem to even notice the people walking/running by.

Here's a nice shot of a harrier in the Palo Alto baylands.

That belongs to the guy that lives above us. Don’t know much about it other than he doesn’t drive it much. Now that the weather is getting better I’m assuming he’ll get it going again.

There is one like this down the street. He was driving it regularly but it's been parked for some time. When I drive by I toy with the idea of asking if he wants to sell it, but I probably won't.

If the YouTube chat ridicule of her multiple "crying" bouts is any guide to how the jury might have reacted to it, she did herself no favours on the witness stand. Brutal.

Derrick at VGG is doing a budget restoration on a newer Ford and he's going to give it away when it's done.
